I hit the road full-time on June 28th with a plan to spend several months meeting with clients and team members. My first day was spent traveling through half of Florida and into Georgia to meet with two clients in Conyers, Georgia, Yvette Morton Williams with Conyers Best Laundry and Lorraine Harrison of About Marketing Inc. and Harrison Vintage Designs. I was super excited to be meeting them in person for the first time!
I didn’t get tired as soon as I thought I would, so I ended up driving a few extra hours that first day, which turned out to be a good decision (I didn’t realize there was construction on the route ahead). I pulled off at a rest stop, which I found with my handy-dandy rest stop app and slept quite comfortably on my new memory foam mattress in the back of my roomy Ford Flex.

I traveled the next morning for about an hour and a half to meet up with Yvette and Lorraine and we had a wonderful lunch at the Thai Palace in Conyers, Georgia. It was so nice to finally meet these ladies in person! I thoroughly enjoyed our time together. We chatted about business, but we also got to know each other a little better personally. The hour flew by and before I knew it, it was time for my next appointment. We parted with the promise to meet in person again soon.

I spent the day in Conyers working from the local library which was quite lovely and had dinner at a local favorite called Atlanta Pizza and Gyros. The food was delicious and the service was great. I wish I had a bigger stomach because I wanted to try the pizza, but after the Spanakopita and Hummus appetizer, then the Gyro Salad, I didn’t even have room for the Baklava I ordered (so, I took it to go)!
I fell asleep to a chorus of crickets with the help of my Free Roam app and slept a full eight hours. The next morning, I had a quick breakfast at Cracker Barrel, then hit the local Planet Fitness before I headed to the library to work.
My next stop was to see my stepsister. We hadn’t seen each other in more than 16 years. But first, I had to get through Atlanta!
